Four of the Powerade/IF dirt crew went to race the Omaha CX Weekend Opener at the familiar Swanson Park venue in Bellevue on Saturday and Sunday.

For being new to cyclocross, Casey Swenson has made it look pretty easy in the first two weekends of fall racing. He rode away early from the Cat 4 field to win Saturday's Swanson Park CX.

In the 1,2,3 contest Jeff Kluck made a big effort to chase back from an early crash to a 3rd place finish in the race won by Mark Savery (MCC). Ulises Salas was 15th.

Bob Greigg finished 8th in the Master's 40+ race.

On Sunday at the Bellevue Grand Prix, (run in the opposite direction of Saturday's course) Casey rode to another dominating victory in the Cat 4 race to record his third win in four races.

Bob was 13th in the Cat 3 race won for the second day in a row by Justin Manning (CPC). Ulises had a very early mechanical that caused him to drop out.

Jeff stayed upright and this time he and Savery rode away early in the Cat 1,2,3 race to make it a one-on-one battle. Eventually, Savery again proved to be the strongest as he recorded another win with Jeff 2nd. Ulises solved his earlier mechanical problem, lined up again and this time finished 11th in the strong field.
