Jeff Kluck closed out his great cyclocross season by finishing 5th today out of 29 starters in the 30-34 age group division at the Masters Cyclocross World Championships in Kentucky. He missed the podium by only 17 seconds. Kevin McConnell (Mercy-Specialized) from Iowa City finished an outstanding 2nd.

Ulises Salas had a rough go and finished 54th out of 72 starters in the 35-39 age group.

Mark Savery of Omaha (Midwest Cycling Community) became the World Champion in the 40-44 age group winning it by a comfortable margin over the 82 other starters. He took over the lead after the two early leaders met mechanical misfortunes from the brutal course conditions. Mark had good pit support, some good luck and rode a flawless race.

Congratulations, guys!
