Written by: Administrator

18 year old powerhouse Aaron Grady of Bike Masters won his second consecutive Psycowpath Series event by storming to a massive 10 minute victory besting perennial midwest strongman Cam Kirkpatrick of RBS in 2nd with Matt Gersib of Salsa Cycles/Monkey Wrench taking a close 3rd. Cody McCullough was the highest placed Powerade/If rider in 5th.

Sydney Brown of Badger Cycles won the Women’s 4 hour race, Limpach/Butler of MCC won the Team event and Tobie Harrell won the 2 hour Beginner race.

65 total racers came to Ponca State Park to accept the challenge of Ponca’s Revenge, the second marathon event of the 2007 Nebraska Lottery Psycowpath Series and 5th series race overall. Hosted by Sioux City Velo for the second consecutive year, this endurance event presented racers with 4+ mile laps of undulating, twisty and technical single track, including a gut-busting grassy climb among approximately 800 ft of climbing per lap. Humid conditions and a lack of wind were tempered somewhat by cloudy to clearing skies the entire day that saw the temperature reach the mid 80’s.

McCullough Dominates Norfolk Classic Omnium

Written by: Administrator

Cody McCullough swept all three events in the Pro,1,2 category as he won the overall title in the 2nd annual Norfolk Classic June 9-10.

Cody first blazed through the Saturday morning opening event, an 18 mile time trial, in 39:52 for a 26.79 mph average that may have set a course record. In the windy and warm late afternoon 64 mile road race at Stanton, he outsprinted Lincoln Plating riders Kevin Burke and Marc Walter and claimed the yellow leader's jersey.

His final display of dominance was to break away with two others in the early laps of Sunday's penultimate 60 minute downtown criterium to lap the field and then won the bunch sprint by a bike throw to leave no doubt as to who was the strongman of the weekend.

Geoff Nelson also won all three of his events to take the Junior's title.
